Kristine spends her time working within a community-based creative social enterprise with the aim of creating and sustaining immersive collaborations between marginalised communities and impact-inspired artists. She shares a little about her life and loves.
Where do you live and what do you love about living there?
I live in Barotac Viejo, a town here in the Philippines. I love living here because I get to wake up to the sound of birds, watch the stars at night, and commune with the nearby seas and rivers. Every Thursday, the local market is also full of textural narratives and backyard produce.
How I start my day is…
Sitting in the balcony of my studio and just be. I also make a cup of ginger-turmeric-coconut oil for myself and drink up slowly.
My favourite season is…
There are only a couple of seasons here. Haha! Can I say favourite weather? Sunny and breezy.
My greatest indulgence is…
Long aimless walks to the beach and picking wildflowers on the way there and having meaningful conversations with a kindred spirit (that makes me forget time and space).

Explosions in the Sky’s “Your hand in mine”
One thing that might surprise people about me is…
I don’t know how to swim properly.
