It is through my own journey of total self-acceptance and healing that inspired the creation of the Sensual Seed Oracle Card Deck. This deck is a gift for every woman to celebrate and honour her authentic beauty and truth.
I had always felt fragile, not just in body but even in my soul. The real turning point in my life came when I gave birth to my daughter and she was unable to come home with me from the hospital. Things were definitely not turning out as I had expected and nothing prepared me for what lay ahead.
I felt totally powerless and unable to express all the emotions I was undergoing or allow anyone to see the real me.
I was depressed, anxious and alone with all my insecurities. I tried to keep busy as a way of coping but nothing would relent the gnawing feeling of emptiness inside. To me, I was just not ‘good enough.’
Eventually this way of existing threatened my marriage, bringing me to my knees.
Growing up in a family where feelings were not expressed openly, it was difficult, if not impossible, for me to verbalise everything I was feeling and undergoing.
I knew that I needed something to pull me out of this dark space. Yet being so sensitive, I felt scared to go down the medical path which had always left me fearful and anxious.
I knew I needed to find another way. I needed to find the light within my own heart to get back in touch with my true self.
It was divine timing when a friend invited me to join a meditation class, and a whole new world of hope and joy opened up. From there, I began exploring the world of metaphysics and natural healing. I then undertook studies in counselling and hypnotherapy so that I could understand myself better.
Things began to slowly fall into place. I came through it stronger than ever.
One thing that had truly helped me through this dark night of my soul was a nightly seed meditation practice I had built up. I would write down one word that represented what I was feeling that day on handmade paper I had crafted. I would contemplate what the word meant to me, what images it evoked, and write down everything that came to me spontaneously allowing the words to flow naturally and effortlessly.
Through this practice I found comfort, self-acceptance and assurance that everything was working out for my highest good. I felt empowered as it became easier and more natural for me to believe in my potential and to trust my inner guidance.
Looking back, I know that this is where the sowing of the seeds for the creation of the Sensual Seed Oracle card deck happened.
Remember that healing starts with a desire to feel better, along with the willingness and courage to take responsibility and look inside. Inside you there is a treasure, it is your greatest gift and it’s been waiting for you your whole life. The path that leads you to this treasure is the path of unconditional love towards your own Self. When we love ourselves completely and unconditionally, something miraculous happens. Everything falls into place – people, relationships, situations, everything.
I hope that through Sensual Seed oracle cards you will also experience this magical return to love that I have experienced.
