A Poem: I Planted A Seed
I found it nestled between my rib cage
Vibrating with a frequency that spoke to the heavens
The harmonic ring, too high a frequency for earth bound souls
But I stopped,
and I listened,
and I knew what must be done
With courage steadying my hand
I reached in, and simply plucked it out
A little heart shaped pod of destiny
It sat in my cupped hands, quivering slightly
In sync with my beating heart
And so I pushed it deep into the earth
With the wound on my ribs still raw
And my heart completely committed
The dreams put down roots
I took the first step
I planted a seed
